High School Ministry

Campus Crossroads

The 21st Century is both an exciting and dangerous time to be a teenager.  With more written about theology than ever before yet with more bombardment of every kind of impurity through more media than ever before, today's teen has tremendous opportunity to demonstrate the distinctives of a true believer in the world.  The youth ministry of Community Bible Church is committed to meeting this challenge by holding as its purpose the threefold biblical purpose of the church:  to worship Christ (John 4:23), to work in the church (Ephesians 4:12), and to witness to the community (I Peter 4:10-11).  These are not new and trendy approaches to youth ministry.  This is the rock solid mission of the church as set forth by Christ in the New Testament.  We see the youth ministry as not independent from the church, but rather as one part of the body which fulfills the purpose of the church.  Our youth staff are trained, burdened, excited, and in fervent prayer for the youth of Vallejo and beyond.  Our heart is to win souls for Christ, equip them to serve, and send them to evangelize their campuses and beyond.  Our aim is to teach the next generation to cherish the Savior (Psalm 145:3-4).  Our desire is to see young men and women mature (Colossians 1:28) for the glory of Christ.

Our Junior High group meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm and the Senior High group meets every Friday at 7:00 pm.  In addition, we take seriously the commission of Christ to make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:19).  Young people are no exception.  Discipleship groups meet weekly for instruction in the Word, prayer, accountability, encouragement, and fellowship.  For some, this has been the most valuable contribution to their spiritual growth.

Periodically, the youth ministry has special events for evangelistic outreach.  We have a summer volleyball tournament, hiking trips, movie nights, football tournaments, and more!

Our summer camp is a great getaway for students to hear God's Word and enjoy His creation.  This is also a wonderful opportunity for outreach, counseling, and meditation in God's Word and prayer.   The emphasis of our winter camp is the equipping of growing Christians for life and ministry.  Students are challenged to deepen their prayer life and service to Christ.
